Roger's print is one of the 20 successful entries that will be displayed in an exhibition over the coming months, details of which, as well as the full selection of 20 images can be found here.

BPIC Photographer of the Year - Round 3

Tonight saw the judging of the 3rd round of the BPIC Photographer of the Year competition.  The subject of this round was Narrative Photography and was a print only round.

There was a fantastic selection of prints submitted making the job of our guest judge Stanley that much harder.

In the Novice category Roger Eager placed first with a maximum 20/20, followed closely by Brian Maguire who scored 19.

In the Advanced category first place was taken by Ross McKelvey with 19/20 and second place want to Karen McCrea with 17.

It was a great show from the club Novice category, with both members scoring higher than their Adcanced counterparts :)

Congratulations to everyone who took part.

Shadows Interpretation

BPIC won the Top Club Title with a strong performance in the Final 'Shadows' themed Round of the NIPA Inter-club competition. The members put a lot of effort into producing creative pictures with shadows as the main theme - the brief given to members was to produce pictures where a neutral person would say 'that picture is all about shadows' - rather than producing a picture that simply had a shadow in it. The distinction is crucial to success in a themed Round!

The following are some of the images which members produced, some of which were selected as part of the Club entry, and some of which were not selected - but the Club Committee would like to extend its thanks to members for putting so much effort and imagination into the Shadows Competition.
